Since opening Shanti club has done an impressive way. Starting with small but cozy events for friends, Shanti gradually turned into one of the central club place of Moscow. Today the best local DJs play here regularly and every club in the world could envy the list of international stars that played here: Rolando, A Guy Called Gerald, Rhythm & Sound, SCSI-9, Substance –and more others.

All that had started from chill-out parties. Made as the whole club in the Eastern style the intimate chill-out hall with excellent sound, soft light, a small dance floor and comfortable sofas immediately began to attract fans of dance music. In Shanti sounded soft sensual deep and soulful house, an elegant futuristic techno, and aesthetical electronics. 
Over the decks of the club constantly appeared the brightest characters of the Moscow’s club field: Anton Kubikov, Alexei Meshkov, Helga, and many others. Parties in Shanti attracted mainly with the atmosphere - the spirit of unity reigned there, which applied not only to regular guests of the club, but also to the artists played. The well-known artists like the German coryphaeus Move D, who became famous as the father of the ambient techno, came back here at the first opportunity to chat with friends and play for a receptive audience.

  Of course, such a congenial atmosphere could not help growing of the younger generation of artists. Shanti has become the starting point for talented newcomers. Bvoice & KHz, Bip Soup, Kausto, Lazzich, Modul - for all these musicians the performances in Shanti became an important step in their careers. And the new generation of promoters arisen in Shanti.

This was aided by the organization of parties by the serial principle - for each promoter a permanent day was reserved (for example, every third Thursday of the month) and the name of the series became a brand with a constant audience and its own music policy. Thus, There were minimal and dub techno in the "Techno-atmosphere" by Helga, DJ Onlee in "Subelektronike" demonstrated an extremely eclectic mosaic of Detroit Renaissance and electro- and indi-tronic, at Saturday’s «Reflections» led by Andrey Dolshick could be heard futuristic dub, techno and even abstract grooves, and Anrilov in «Fragment Sessions» presented young local musicians and the latest news of the European techno scene.

A key point in the development of Shanti was the opening of a large dance floor. This place has been truly unprecedented for our city: an underground dance floor, separated from the main room by spiral staircase, with the shape of the labyrinth. The architecture of this hall, an unique futuristic design and an unusual light are the best background for the ever-sounding electronics of the future.
However, techno and other dance styles and music schools are not the only musical content of our club. Along with the electronics the ethnic music occupies a prominent place. One of the goals of Shanti is the promotion of ethnic art and culture. Here the artists who play world fusion and other music with folk roots are regulars. Shanti residents are Diggadgy, they combine electronic aesthetics with folk traditions of India. Often there are such diverse artists as percussionist Hutsul Petro Skaskiv and Moscow ethno-electronic collective "Volga".
